Vacations 1
The photos on this page were taken by a friend of mine, Wendy
Johnson. We visited many places including most of the National Parks in
the western United States.
Maui, Hawaii (1997)
Hawaii is beautiful! If you've never been there, you must go to
Hawaii.
Mount Shasta, California (1997)
Mount Shasta is one of a series of volcanoes that runs along the West
coast.
Lassen Volcanic National Park, California (1997)
Lassen is another in the series of volcanoes. Lassen last erupted in
1917.
Sequoia National Park, California (1997)
Sequoia National Park is famous for its giant redwood trees. They
really are red too! I have a lot of respect for something that's been
alive for 2,000 years.
Joshua Tree National Park, California (1998)
Ever been surrounded by Joshua trees and cacti?
Calico Ghost Town, California (1998)
Calico is an old silver mining town, preserved as a tourist
attraction.
Yosemite National Park, California (1998)
Yosemite is famous for its glacier-carved valley and waterfalls. But
there's a lot more to see! This photo was taken at Olmstead point.
Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah (1998)
Red rocks capped by white snow.
Arches National Park, Utah (1998)
This park features an amazing number of naturally-formed arches.
Disneyland in Anaheim, California (1998)
30 years ago, a longhaired man would not have been allowed to enter
the park. Fortunately, today no one thinks twice about long hair.
